Room, Delaine Le Bas. Photography by Tara Darby (ci-dessus)
Room, Delaine transforms the compact domestic sized gallery space at Transition into her own room ; an enchanted fairytailing cell, choc-a-bloc with her work and artefacts. Making art within the magical place that we all imagine artists to inhabit.
This book documents the period leading up to the show including the political events that came to infiltrate the work. Delaine's letters to the artist Alex Michon provide a fascinating insight into the artistic process whilst Tara Darby's photographs of Delaine at home in Worthing are more than a documentary record, they are a collaboration, capturing the multifarious essence of Delaine's work.
